I work with couples who come from different religious backgrounds or no religious background. The incorporation of spiritual elements is entirely up to the couple. A non-religious ceremony can be just as beautiful as a spiritual one. A service can be intimate, humorous, joyful, etc.  We can blend elements from different faith traditions or stick to one. The most important thing to me is that the couple sets the tone and that it is in tune with the couple’s unique spiritual identity.

 

NAMING CEREMONY

A naming service for infants is a way to celebrate bringing a new life into this world and to his/her family. This is a ceremony recognizing the soul which has come amongst us, as an acknowledgement of identity and of oneness with the Devine Parent and all things in the Universe. It is an opportunity for us to bless the future wellbeing of the child and to offer the child in the ways of spiritual growth with freedom to choose its own pathway and religion with knowledge and love.

 

 

Along with recognizing the given names chosen by the parents, the child is given a spirit name that has been given to the Minister from Spirit during meditation and/or inspiration.  The chosen name from Spirit may uplift you in times when you feel the need for inner strength and guidance.

The service is beautiful and touching, and is also offered to adults who wish to receive this Blessing and receive their spirit name once they have chosen to be named as a Spiritualist.

It is requested that all who witness this ceremony lend their support and love to the soul's progress and growth.
